This is obviously taken in a middle eastern country, all you people crying animal abuse, you should see the conditions of the animals in countries like this, that is there culture, it sucks for both the animals and the humans but thats life. They all live in deplorable conditions, you will see the skinniest sickliest looking cows and horses that you could imagine. I was in Iraq and saw stuff like this on a daily basis. I once saw a fully grown camel stuffed and tied down into the back of an old toyota truck.
These people Rely on there animals for survival and thats all they have. so the animals, much like the people, have hard and depressing lives. so before you judge, try living in the harsh conditions these cultures are forced to live in.

I’m currently living in a Middle Eastern country, and, yes, life is hard for many of the people, but it still doesn’t excuse the unthinking cruelty many of them do inflict on their animals. Yes, they are different cultures with different views about the place of animals, but unnecessary suffering is still unjustified. As Gandhi once said, ‘You can judge the civilization by how it treats its animals’ (or words to that effect).

Does the donkey honestly look like he is in pain. If that donkey were actually hurting he would be trying as hard as he could to get to the ground. But he’s just hanging out there.
